A little history about Spin-a-Recipe
I’ve been collecting cookbooks and recipes for a very long time.  And yet, making the decision as to what to make for dinner became overwhelming.  I had too many choices.  When I asked the family what they wanted, they rarely gave suggestions.  So I’d plod through page after page of recipes and end up making anything just to get the process over with.

That’s when I came up with the idea for Spin-a-Recipe.  I thought how great it would be to have some method select the recipe for me.  The idea of being able to play a slot machine to decide what to make brought the fun back into cooking.  Give it a try at www.spinarecipe.com and you’ll have to agree.   When you see this slot machine, you’ll know the fun is about to begin.

The slot machine isn’t just about selecting recipes.  You can even spin the wheels for different ingredients.  When you find a recipe you like, you can make all sorts of variations and have a different dinner every night.

The Idea Had to Wait for Technology to Catch Up
The idea for Spin-a-Recipe came to me over 19 years ago.  The internet was still in its infancy and not ready for such an innovative plan.  So, in the meantime, I became a registered dietitian, a culinary nutritonist, an author of over half a dozen books, a freelance writer for popular magazines, a speaker, a national spokesperson and a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI – an internationally recognized personality tool).  Maybe you’ve read my books or seen me on Fox News or PBS.

If you want to lose weight, read A Diet for Every Personality Type?
As I was waiting for the right time to launch Spin-a-Recipe, one of the books I wrote is called, A Diet for Every Personality Type.  I believe that people attempt to lose weight in a way that isn’t comfortable for their type.  When they fail, they blame themselves when what they really should be blaming is the approach they took.  So visit my website, www.advantagediets.com, and find out more about your type and how you can use it to your advantage.

Have fun!
